Everything you need to know about preparing your child for a day of intentional, child-led discovery at Worthemere.

We recommend comfortable clothing that allows for free movement, artistic expression, and active exploration. Because our Reggio Emilia-inspired environment features interactive play structures and sensory materials, children will be moving, climbing, and creating.


To maintain our pristine hygiene standards and ensure the safety of every little explorer, all children are required to wear custom grip socks while inside the play space. You are welcome to bring g your own grip socks or purchase a pair from us upon arrival.


Worthemere is a strictly nut-free facility. To protect children with severe, life-threatening allergies, no peanuts, tree nuts, or products containing nut traces are permitted anywhere inside the clubhouse.


When packing for your child’s play block, you have two convenient options:


  • Bring Your Own: You are welcome to pack a nut-free snack or lunch box for your child. Please ensure all containers are clearly labeled with your child's name.
  • Snack purchase: For a seamless, hands-free experience, we offer a curated selection of premium, organic, and nut-free snacks and beverages available for purchase directly at the front desk or via our member app.


We love welcoming guest families to Worthemere! For non-members, our reservation matrix opens exactly 48 hours in advance for any given day.


  • Example: If you would like to reserve a play block for a Thursday morning at 9:00 AM, the public booking window will unlock on our website and app on Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM.


Because our daily capacity is strictly limited by state regulations to preserve our premium, low-ratio environment, we highly recommend downloading our app and reserving your block the moment your 48-hour window opens. Prime morning slots do fill up incredibly fast.


Yes, walk-ins are always warmly welcomed at Worthemere—but they are strictly subject to real-time space availability. To maintain our uncompromising standards of safety, individualized attention, and calm, child-led exploration, we adhere to hard caps on the number of children in our play space at any given time. If we are at capacity when you arrive, we will unfortunately not be able to check your child in.


  • Our Insider Tip: To avoid disappointment at the door, always take 60 seconds to open the Worthemere app and check real-time availability or secure a last-minute block before driving over to our location.


Absolutely. If you find your family needing to plan your weeks with more predictability, we invite you to purchase or annual membership.


By activating a Worthemere Annual Membership ($200/year), you instantly bypass the 48-hour restriction and unlock a 30-Day Priority Booking Window, allowing you to claim your preferred dates and morning slots a full month before they drop to the general public. Members also unlock our exclusive, preferred hourly rates.


Meticulously. In strict compliance with North Carolina early childhood regulations for specialized drop-in and non-permanent care facilities, individual child attendance is legally capped at a maximum of 4 hours per 24-hour period.


Because our daily staffing ratios are dynamically adjusted and balanced down to the minute to preserve our high-touch caregiver-to-child environment, prompt pick-up at the end of your reserved play block is mandatory.


We understand traffic delays and an extended meeting can happen. However, because our capacity limits are strictly governed by state law and reserved ahead of time by other waiting families, late pick-ups create immediate operational constraints. It is imperative you plan accordingly to ensure you will arrive on time for pick-up.


  • Late Fee Structure: a late fee of $10.00 for every 5-minute increment (or fraction thereof) will be automatically assessed to your account.
  • The Absolute Limit: Under no circumstances can a child remain in the facility past the state-mandated 4-hour legal limit. If a sudden emergency arises, please utilize the app or call the clubhouse concierge immediately so we can help you coordinate an authorized alternative pick-up person.
  • Violations may result in revoked access to our drop-in care.


At Worthemere, we deliberately maintain low, intimate caregiver-to-child ratios to give your little explorer an exceptional, child-led enrichment experience. Because our available spaces are strictly limited and dynamically staffed down to the minute, an unfulfilled reservation prevents another family from utilizing the slot. We understand that life with young children is inherently fluid, so we have designed our policy to offer flexibility while protecting accurate availability for our entire community:


  • Cancellations with 24+ Hours Notice: Absolutely seamless. You may cancel or reschedule your play block directly through the Worthemere app at any time up to 24 hours before your session with no penalty. Guest booking fees will be instantly applied as a full credit to your account for future use.
  • Late Cancellations (Less than 24 Hours Notice): If a reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of the start time, a late cancellation fee equal to 50% of the reserved block value will be assessed, with the remainder credited to your account.
  • Club Member Perks: We know mornings can turn sideways. To support our community, all annual Worthemere Members receive one "Schedules Happen" Grace Token every quarter, allowing for one penalty-free cancellation within the 24-hour window.


Reservations are considered a "No-Show" if a child is not checked in within 10 minutes of their scheduled start time without prior digital notice, and the full block reservation will be forfeited.
